Inclement Weather Plan
In the event we have bad weather, we have set a few guidelines for hours we will remain open. Please know that we will make every effort to assist you in childcare during inclement weather situations. However, we must take into consideration the safety of our students and staff. Our driveway is very steep and we must ensure it is safe to travel on during inclement weather situations. Contact our Camp Office at 336.284.2267 or text Jessica at 336.477.4122.
ALL CLOSINGS WILL BE POSTED ON FACEBOOK! Additionally, we may make postings on WXII 12 News.
SCHOOL RELEASED EARLY: In this situation, we will pick up from each school at the designated time set by the Davie County School System. Our staff receive connect-Ed calls and will be aware of any school closing/early release. All students will be brought to Camp Manna.
**** If weather is severe, we ask that parents attempt to make arrangements to have students picked up by 3:00 pm at Camp. Van Riders will arrive in Mocksville between 3:30 – 3:45 for pickup. These times are only tentative and an official time will be given that day depending on the severity of the weather and road conditions. If possible, we will remain open for normal hours.
If school is released before lunch time we will provide a pizza lunch for all students. PLEASE call our office if your child will NOT be riding with us. This will help our van drivers and help us in planning for food! Thank you!
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! If you plan to pick up your student from school, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, call us and let us know before school releases!! Otherwise, we will be searching the school for them! Thank you so much!!
SCHOOL CANCELLED: If school is canceled due to inclement weather please check Facebook for notifications of closings. You can also text Jessica at 336-477-4122 or email her at info@campmanna.org to find out if we are open and what time we will open. If we feel it is a day that we can open and you are in need of childcare we will remain open. NO VAN SERVICE will be offered on canceled school days. If roads are bad and our camp manna drive is unsafe we will be closed. You can also tune into WXII12 News for closing and delays. We will also post all cancellations and early closing on Facebook!
SCHOOL DELAYS: Camp Manna will not be open during morning hours for school delays. We apologize for this inconvenience but due to the fact that some of our staff are employees of DAVIE COUNTY SCHOOLS. We do not have enough drivers to get the students to school! Thank you for understanding!
If you call and no one answers, please leave a message, we will return your call as soon as we can. Usually these days are busy and we make every effort to take extreme caution. If you are attempting to call close to pickup times we will return your call once all students have returned to camp. Our drivers DO NOT use their phones while driving.
